Cabling Mate / Improver
Kestrel Structured Cabling Ltd · Glasgow, United Kingdom
PermanentOn site£24,000 – £29,000 per year
**The work**
A way into the trade rather than a shortcut. You will start pulling cable, installing tray and basket, dressing and labelling, and fetching for the engineers, and over the first year you will be taught to terminate copper, build patch panels and read a floor plan. Sites are across the central belt with occasional overnights.
**What you need**

- Physically able to work at height, in ceilings and in risers all day.
- Reliable timekeeping and a willingness to be told how something should be done.
- A CSCS labourer card, or a willingness to sit the test at our cost in your first month.
- A driving licence helps but is not a condition.
**What we offer**
A starting salary in the band above with a review at six and twelve months, funded CSCS, IPAF and PASMA, and a written training plan with the skills you will be signed off on. 28 days holiday plus bank holidays and a pension. Three of our current site supervisors started in this role.
