Copper Jointer — PSTN Migration
Brackenway Network Services Ltd · Manchester, United Kingdom
ContractOn site£180 – £240 per day
**The work**
Copper jointing and pair testing on a migration programme running ahead of the 2027 PSTN switch-off. Jointing in chambers and at the cabinet, pair identification and testing, fault location, and recording what is actually in the ground rather than what the records claim. Work is across Greater Manchester and Cheshire.
**What you need**
- Three years or more of copper jointing in the public network.
- Confident with pair testing and fault location, including on records that are wrong.
- NRSWA Streetworks units and a CSCS card.
- Your own van and hand tools; test sets and materials are supplied.
- Comfortable in confined spaces with gas monitoring.
**What we offer**
A day rate in the band above paid weekly, with materials and test sets supplied. The migration programme runs to the switch-off, so the workflow is continuous rather than project by project.
**How to apply**
Apply through CableJob. Answer the screening questions in the form; we reply to every application within five working days.
