Fibre Test and Certification Engineer

**The work** Certifying the fibre plant in a new hall before handover. Tier 1 insertion loss on every link, Tier 2 OTDR both directions on the backbone, loss budget checks against the design, and the certification pack that goes to the client and to the warranty scheme. Where a link fails you will trace it, mark the defect and re-test after the remedial. **What you need** - Three years or more of structured fibre testing on commercial or data centre work. - Fluent with an OTDR and an insertion loss set; you can explain a failed link to a design engineer. - Experience producing a certification pack and a warranty submission end to end. - FOA CFOT or equivalent, and a CSCS card. - Methodical with records. On this contract the paperwork is what is being bought. **What we offer** A day rate in the band above paid weekly, weekend overtime at the enhanced rate, and all test sets supplied and calibrated.
