NOC Engineer — Fibre Access Network
Shannonlink Communications Ltd · Dublin, Ireland
PermanentHybrid€45,000 – €55,000 per year
**The work**
Running the network operations desk for a national fibre access network. Monitoring alarms across the OLT estate, triaging PON faults including rogue ONUs and drop breaks, dispatching field crews with a useful fault description, escalating to the core team when it is not access, and writing the incident record. 24/7 rotation with hybrid working once you are signed off.
**What you need**
- Two years or more in a NOC, an access network team or a comparable operations role.
- GPON in practice: you can tell a rogue ONU from a fibre break from the alarm picture.
- Clear written English; the fault description is what the field crew works from.
- Willing to work a 24/7 rotation including nights and weekends.
- OTDR fault location experience is an advantage.
**What we offer**
A permanent salary in the band above plus a shift allowance, hybrid working once signed off, pension and private health cover. Training on the OLT platforms and on our monitoring stack takes the first six weeks, on days.
**How to apply**
Apply through CableJob. Answer the screening questions in the form; we reply to every application within five working days.
