Structured Cabling Engineer

Kestrel Structured Cabling Ltd · Manchester, United Kingdom

PermanentOn site£32,000 – £41,000 per year
**The work** Commercial fit-out work across Greater Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds: containment and tray, Cat6A and Cat6 first fix, termination onto patch panels and outlets, fibre backbone between comms rooms, then Fluke DSX certification and the warranty submission. Sites are offices, schools and one hospital wing, so you will be working alongside other trades under a main contractor's programme. **What you need** - Valid CSCS card and a full UK driving licence. - Two years or more terminating copper and building patch panels to a standard you are happy to certify. - Able to read a floor plan and set out containment without waiting to be told twice. - Experience with a Fluke DSX or equivalent certifier, or a willingness to be trained on ours. - IPAF or PASMA holders are preferred; we will fund both if you do not hold them. **What we offer** A permanent salary in the band above, a company van and fuel card, 28 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, and paid card renewals. Travel is regional with occasional overnights, paid at the standard allowance. We put two engineers on each site, so nobody terminates a hospital riser alone. **How to apply** Apply on CableJob with your CV and your card numbers. Shortlisted candidates are invited to a site visit before a start date is agreed.
